Wow, there is something truly special about the Lesotho Mountains.
This is the first time I have 4x4ed in the
Mountain Kingdom and it was really amazing.
Mike Porter from LR Service Centre kindly accepted my offer to be
his co-driver for wh…at must be one of the most nerve racking trips of all time –
not for us BUT for the driver of the brand new Disco 4 we escorted over the pass….Land Rover South Africa asked
Andrew St Pierre White to try and drive a stock standard Discovery 4 over Baboons Pass.
So, with a 130 from LR and a 110 Defender from Cape Town Land Rover we set sail for the pass.
We decided to take in the views and experience by spreading theascent over two days,
spending one night on the pass. Ok, so now we have a 130 Defender running 35 inch tyres
leading the way with the 110 on 33inch tyres running tail gunner.
